Meet 'Pinkerton Little' - meditation teacher, author and martial arts Master Carol McMahon

Carol first wrote as a scholar. As a National Science Foundation Trainee Carol earned a Doctorate in the psychology of human learning from Penn State University. Grant supported research led to publications in distinguished journals including the American Journal of Psychology and Medical Hypotheses. Among Carol's articles: Psychosomatic Concepts In The Works Of Shakespere. Her book WHERE MEDICINE FAILS was a driving force in the holistic health movement. Discovery of a new "feedback method" of meditation (Press Release) however, and the meditation breakthrough it produced, redirected Carol’s life.

Breakthrough brought new direction. Using feedback to guide meditation, Carol experienced the breakthrough to full awarwness known as "enlightenment." This redirected Carol's life to teaching, testing and refining the feedback method and to crafting self-tests (Test Your Enlightenment) so others can guide themselves. The work culminated in: STRAIGHT LINE MEDITATION (HOW TO RESTORE AWARENESS AND WHY YOU NEED TO) by Carol with martial arts Master Deac Cataldo.

Inspiration in the afterglow. In the afterglow of breakthrough, a flood of inspiration created the story series: AWAKEN THE CHILDREN (Stories To Bring Forth Inner Wisdom). First came The Pig Fairy and Little Grace The Ladybug, then the rest. A series within the series: Enchanted Log Stories is an ongoing project. (Ask a question and the voice from the log answers. The voice is not Carol's, but inner light we all share.)

Motherhood brought a Zen Master. Carol's Zen Master's photo appears on the header and below. Her baby taught by example the meaning of "original perfection." Karate Mastery. Carol, like Jackie Chan, abhors violence but loves Karate action. She holds eighth degree black belt Mastery in the tradition Karate do (The Way Of The Empty Hand). Her teacher is Master Deac Cataldo, the tradition's sixth Master (Meet Master Deac).

Carol and her husband celebrate 35 years of marriage. They divide their time between Colden, New York and Ashland, Oregon.
